Tentech Inc. announced that Tentech Inc. has participated in AAD 2024 (American Academy of Dermatology) held at the San Diego Convention Center in Southern California from March 8th to 10th, following U.S. certification for ’10THERMA’ from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) last December.
The 2024 AAD Annual Meeting is the largest annual meeting related to dermatology in the U.S. This annual meeting is organized to share the latest academic trends in dermatology and advancements in medical devices. Over 350 major companies in the dermatology field participated, and this event attracted approximately 18,000 attendees, primarily dermatologists.
Tentech Inc. unveiled the monopolar radio-frequency (RF) device ’10THERMA’ and fractional IPL device ’10PL’. Tentech Inc. received FDA 510(k) clearance for both products. Particularly, ’10THERMA’ (maximum output 400W/6.78MHz) gained significant attention as it made its official debut in the U.S. for the first time.
’10THERMA’ is a device that can deliver RF energy to the dermis, generating heat through the skin’s electrical resistance. The monopolar RF treatment of ’10THERMA’ utilizes a mono pole electrode to effectively penetrate heat deep into the skin’s layers. ’10THERMA’ is equipped with impedance matching technology that helps adjust precise targeted energy for individuals. Additionally, this treatment is non-invasive, resulting in no downtime and less pain.
’10PL’ is an IPL (intense pulsed light) device that significantly lowers the risk of burns by applying the fractional concept to existing IPL technology. Additionally, the tip size is 45mm X 18mm, allowing for quick treatment of large areas. In 2021, ’10PL’ secured U.S. FDA approval.
A representative for Tentech Inc. stated, “We showcased ’10THERMA’, an RF device that has received FDA 501(k) clearance, in the U.S.” He added, “Tentech Inc. successfully concluded its exhibition with a lot of interest from dermatologists and distributors from American markets, including the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Chile, and Brazil.”
